Who'd-A-Thought?
Some fresh ideas I have come across that make me smile....
This fabric ( or even wall covered) headboard is always fun and
opens many possibilities to introducing new pattern, height, etc..
This is fun. Post a menu or let everyone know it isn't a soup kitchen, haha.. Oh, and the shelves on the side are FUNCTIONAL, which is always nice!
Not crazy bout this cut out in this space, however, the concept is way cool!
With graphics on the wall like this, you can live anywhere, at least in theory..
Not new, but I LOVE the different graphics and I especially love large art! As an artist myself, why not use all the space to make a statement with a cool print or painting... words, etc.?
Wall graphics are great for kids rooms. It is also a way to not do something permanent, in case you are like me and love change! Like the different shelf color as well as the long mirror to "stretch" the room.
Check out that fringe treatment on the otherwise straight desk.
Um, bed sofa, indoor window planter, chandelier side lamp..I could go on...
Oldy but goody.. Wall paper the inside of furniture and show it!
With laminate and other new flooring material (and green, mind you) shapes are endless. Imagination can produce some GREAT options for space. Look at commercial floors and think of your house.

Humor, Because We All Need It
I always try to do something fun or out of the norm in my designs of interiors. Maybe not as much as these designers, but it is always fun to take the stark edge away. I am not pretentious and do not design that way. Life is too short to be so serious..... Have fun!
If you think of wall and floor materials with an open mind, anything is possible.
Even soft wood..... I really like this rug and in the right setting, I'd use it!
Mosaic Tiles are lots of fun and you are only limited to your imagination with these little guys!
